Betty Bulthuis is a stained glass artist specializing in monumental stained glass and belongs to a small group of specialized restoration craftspeople in the Netherlands.

From her studio in the outskirts of Enschede, Betty develops both restoration projects and her own stained glass designs, often inspired by nature motifs with a subtle, quirky figuration.

After completing her four-year education in Monumental Glass Art at Master-Glass in Tilburg, Betty pursued additional training to become a specialized craftswoman and continued to actively further her education within the stained glass craft.
As a teacher at the National Center for Heritage Studies, Betty passes on her knowledge to a new generation of stained glass restorers.

Her restoration of the seventeenth-century stained glass windows of Huis te Breckelenkamp is considered a significant milestone in her career.
In 2025, Betty also restored the damaged 17th-century diaphonorama featuring the Magere Brug for Huis Singraven to a high standard, which was exhibited at GLASRIJK Tubbergen 2025.

In 2026, Betty will showcase standalone works where craftsmanship and a quiet visual language reinforce each other.
