Description

Linda van Huffelen creates contemporary glass objects using glass fusing, in which light, air, and color engage in a serene dialogue.

Her work transcends the boundaries of the known, demonstrating how many new possibilities glass still holds. Driven by a strong urge to experiment, she develops unusual techniques within glass fusing and brings three-dimensional glass dreams to life.

She is best known for her “Inflatables”: spatial objects created from fused glass plates during the firing process, using compressed air, which possess their own gentle monumentality. Her studio is located in Norg (Drenthe, Netherlands).

Works from this series are held in the collection of the Glasmuseum Lette in Coesfeld.

Her objects often move on the interface of fragility and strength, fueled by her great fascination with forms and structures in nature.

Linda van Huffelen is exhibiting during the GLASRIJK days in the Chapel of Havezate Herinckhave in Fleringen (Buitenring)., click here
