GLASRIJK Board

Yes, we are already busy with GLASRIJK 2026 again!
Although the event doesn't take place until October 2026, preparations are in full swing. Every month, we as a board meet – and it's not just enjoyable, but also very necessary. Because organizing GLASRIJK is not something you do lightly: there's a lot to discuss, plan, and arrange.

The board of Glassware forms a close-knit and motivated group passionately committed to the future of this unique event. Together with curator Myriam Knol We are working on the implementation of our carefully drafted four-year plan, of which one year has already been successfully completed. This plan forms the basis for a stable organization that not only offers artists an inspiring stage but also provides the residents of Tubbergen with an event they can rightly be proud of – in short: Tubbergen-worthy.

Our vision is clear: GLASRIJK must be a lasting cultural beacon that connects art and community. With the commitment of more than 105 volunteers we are realizing a broadly supported event in which international and national glass artists can showcase their work, but which also offers space for meeting, experience, and local involvement. This interplay between art and community makes GLASRIJK unique, not only within Twente, but also far beyond.

The board feels a strong responsibility to ensure the continuity of GLASRIJK. This requires clear choices, sustainable collaborations, and a future-oriented perspective. We strive for professionalism in organization and communication, while cherishing the warm, open atmosphere that characterizes our event. By collaborating with artists, volunteers, partners, and residents, we are building a solid foundation on which GLASRIJK can continue to grow.

This is how we want to continue building an event in the coming years that not only breathes art but also reflects the strength and pride of Tubbergen.

Binnen het bestuur heeft iedereen zijn eigen taak, zodat we efficiënt kunnen werken en niks over het hoofd zien:

• Albertjan Peters, chairman – monitors artistic quality and maintains administrative relationships. Also involved in PR/marketing, sponsorship, and grants.
• Hans Ganzeboom, Treasurer – keeps the financial overview and handles grants and sponsorships.
• Rob Henneveld, secretary – responsible for the secretariat, GLASRIJK Xtra!, and active in marketing, PR, and sponsorship.
• Sylvia Bruggenwirth, board member – connects GLASRIJK with local businesses and contributes ideas for the design of public spaces.
• Bas Olde Hampsink, board member – coordinates volunteers and works on the fringe program, lectures, and sponsorship.
