• Hof van Tubbergen (Eeshof) – The monumental setting with impressive outdoor installations in the Eeshofbos, an impressive glasswork in the large greenhouse. This year also sees the Eeshof Chapel furnished with an exhibition.

De Huyer Estate

Estate De Huyer in Tubbergen is named after a historic  landscape region name.
Previously, a farmhouse stood at this location, built in 1910, which always served as a tenant farm and was owned by the Elferink Family.

An access road used to run along the farm from the Veldweg to the Vikkersweg across the Schultenwolde Estate.

Landgoed De Huyer is derived from the name “De Huyeren,” which is understood to come from “heurne” (residential corner/neighborhood), thus indicating a geographical location of an inhabited sand ridge in a marshy area. In the past, and still today, it served as the connection between Tubbergen and Geesteren.

In 2007, an estate was built here in the typical Twentse Landhuis regional style, derived from a fortified manor house, complete with barns and a landscaped garden.

The current family purchased the estate in the early 2000s because it is surrounded by nature and farmland, where freedom and tranquility played an important role in their decision.
By making it their own and building something characteristic here, they live here with great pleasure.

It is in the landscaped garden of Landgoed De Huyer, in a large greenhouse, where artist Sacha Brienesse showcases her creativity during the GLASRIJK days in 2026.

Erve Volmerinck

Erve Volmerinck in Tubbergen is a historic estate location, first mentioned in 1334 as a court of the Bishop of Utrecht.
In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, the farmhouse served as a clandestine church for Catholic believers from the surrounding area, lending the place a special depth and tranquility that endures to this day.

The estate is located on the Tubberger Esch, in the characteristic Twente landscape of copses, hedgerows, and old farmsteads, where the cohesion between agriculture, history, and landscape is still clearly visible. A stone's throw away stands the monument in memory of Dr. Schaepman.

The location is easily accessible from Tubbergen by foot and bicycle; the route across the plateau specifically enhances the experience of space, silence, and attention.

The location directly on the Twentepad underscores the close connection with the landscape and makes Erve Volmerinck a natural stop for hikers and visitors of Glasrijk.
The carefully restored buildings form a understated, authentic setting for art and encounters.

It is in one of the barns of Erve Volmerinck, restored to its original state, where artist Bernard Heesen will showcase his craftsmanship and creativity during the GLASRIJK days in 2026.

Farmhouse Pinners: top art in the historic front house

Farm Pinners is an ancient farmstead on the outskirts of Tubbergen, opposite the Eeshof forest and in the vicinity of the historic Eeshof estate (now Hof van Tubbergen).

This makes the farm part of the old cultural landscape surrounding the es and communal lands, where farms and homesteads formed the traditional Twentse farm pattern. As a mixed agricultural enterprise on the es lands around the village, Boerderij Pinners connects to the long agricultural history of the Tubberger Esch.

Nowadays, among other things, the farm houses a rest stop called “Het Oude Schuurtje” (The Old Shed) belonging to the Pinners family, where hikers and cyclists can pause and experience the atmosphere of the historic farm. See link to the Rust Points during GLASRIJK in 2026.

During Glasrijk, Boerderij Pinners will be used as an exhibition space for glass art in the stables and in the historic farmhouse, allowing the agricultural past and contemporary culture to merge in a natural way.
This way, the farm remains recognizable as a peaceful, historical anchor point in the landscape on the edge of the Tubberger Esch.
