GLASSY OUTER RING – Meet GLASRIJK in 2026 on a journey of discovery in Northeast Twente.

GLASRIJK-2026 is not only manifesting itself in the heart of Tubbergen, but this year it also extends across the Northeast Twente region with an impressive outer ring consisting of seven meaningful locations
This outer ring invites cyclists, walkers, and drivers on a discovery tour along glass art at special Twente locations, where landscape, history, and art come together.

This outer ring partially uses three existing cycle routes, totaling over 120 kilometers. During the GLASRIJK days, these permanent routes will be enriched with art locations, each telling its own story. Go here for the bike routes

The seven locations of the outer ring during GLASRIJK in 2026:

• Estate Baasdam – A working farmyard dating back to 1402, the old barn is available to us
• Annemiek Punt Gallery– Glasrijk's leading artist of 2025 offers a glimpse into her studio located in the heart of Ootmarsum
• House at Breckelenkamp A hidden gem in the Twente landscape.
• Landgoed Singraven A historic place where nature and culture merge.
• Saint Plechelmus Church Saasveld – a church with historical roots and the burial place of glass artist Jan Schoenaker
• Havezate Herinckhave– Ancient charm, now enriched with contemporary glass art.
• Erve De Wieschert A characteristic Twente estate with a long agricultural history

GLASRIJK is collaborating here with leading landscape and cultural partners. The theme for 2026, “Everyday glassware”, st , where a leading artist showcases their craft, is central to these locations.
This will further strengthen the connection with Northeast Twente and the Euregio, creating new opportunities for collaboration and exchange between artists, museums, collectors, and enthusiasts.

DIn the coming period, information about the exhibiting artists at these locations will be further supplemented.

Estate Baasdam in Tubbergen

Landgoed Baasdam, in the heart of Twente, traces its origins back to the medieval “bailey and estate Baasdam,” where farming and cattle breeding dictated the rhythm of daily life for centuries.  In this small-scale cultural landscape, with hedgerows, fields, and meadows, the historical structure of the farmyard and its surroundings has been exceptionally well preserved.

The oldest part with activity is the farmstead, first mentioned in records in 1402. For centuries, farming took place on 15 hectares. This area, with its higher fields for growing grain, lower meadows, and hedgerows, remains almost intact.

Over time, Baasdam evolved from an agricultural property into a private estate, with the preservation of landscape and historical character always being paramount.

Today, the estate is managed by a private owner who prioritizes nature management, tranquility, and quality of stay. The grounds feature carefully laid out walking paths and a limited number of subtly designed holiday homes, nestled in greenery.

In this context of history, landscape, and contemporary, careful stewardship, Landgoed Baasdam offers a natural and understated setting for the art presentations of Glasrijk Tubbergen in 2026.

Gallery Annemiek Punt in Ootmarsum

Atelier Galerie Annemiek Punt is located in the historic heart of Ootmarsum, in a former children's home next to the monastery. In this intimate setting, Annemiek Punt presents her glass art and paintings in a permanent exhibition, ranging from small objects and window hangers to monumental glass reliefs.

The gallery has been a constant presence in the art town since the early nineties, reflecting Punt's development as a glass artist, master glassblower, and painter.

During the 2025 edition, Annemiek Punt was GLASRIJK's leading artist with exhibitions in the Tubbergen Town Hall and Erve Volmerinck.
Her work is characterized by powerful color schemes and the way light is captured in glass and reflected back into the space.

Annemiek Punt was recently named Brilliant Artist of the Year 2026. This recognition underscores her significance within Dutch glass art.

“She is now part of a very respectable list of artists aged 65 and older who have won the prestigious award. Marte Röling, Ans Markus, Jeroen Krabbé, and just last year Jeroen Henneman preceded Annemiek Punt. “It is special and indeed very honorable, and also a recognition of me as an artist.”" (source: Annemiek Punt's website)

Visitors to the gallery in Ootmarsum are welcomed into a calm, focused environment where the glass objects and paintings are displayed in harmony, and where the artisanal process and artistic innovation naturally come together.

House Breckelenkamp in Lattrop-Brecklenkamp

Huis te Breckelenkamp, near Lattrop in Northeast Twente, is an ancient estate that remarkably reflects the character of the small-scale Twente farm landscape. The country estate is a rich example of a 17th-century East Dutch manor. The House is located in one of the most beautiful and quiet areas of Twente, a landscape of cultivated fields and meadows intersected by streams, known for its monumental oaks and beeches.Around the historic house unfolds an ensemble of courtyards, avenues, and green structures, in which the development from noble property to estate is clearly legible.

Originally established as a fortified house with surrounding grounds, Breckelenkamp developed into a country estate where agriculture, hunting, and representation converged. The current house, built in a sober yet distinctive style, is surrounded by groves of trees, bodies of water, and open meadows, allowing the transition from the estate grounds to the landscape to be gradual and natural.

Nowadays, preserving the characteristic landscape, the cultural-historical buildings, and the quiet, secluded atmosphere is central to management. This makes Huis te Breckelenkamp a subdued, fitting context for art and contemplation, where history and contemporary experience meet naturally.
For no less than two decades, the house has been lovingly restored by Matthijs and Gerry Wanrooy. 

During the GLASRIJK days of 2026, a beautiful glass art exhibition will take place here.

Estate Singraven in Denekamp

The House on the Singraven estate has a rich history. The estate is first mentioned in 1381 as an agricultural farmstead called ‘Hof ten Singraven’, owned by the Bishop of Utrecht. In the centuries that followed, the estate was successively owned by different families, until it was purchased in the early 20th century by the father of Mr. Willem Frederik Jan Laan. This Willem Laan became the owner and the last resident of Huis Singraven.

Willem Laan commissioned various extensive renovations and restorations, including the addition of a Neoclassical facade. Furthermore, for as long as he lived in the House, he amassed an enormous Art and antique collection. In 1956, Laan sold the estate to the Edwina van Heek Foundation, while he was allowed to continue living there until his death in 1966. A condition of the sale was that the estate had to be preserved as much as possible in its original condition.
The House features period rooms in the Louis XV and Louis XVI styles, as well as an exceptional art and antique collection.

During GLASRIJK-2026, Huis Singraven will open its doors, thanks to the benevolent cooperation of the Edwina van Heek Foundation and manager Daan van Mierlo, are open to the public.

Saint Plechelmus Church in Saasveld

The historic church of Saasveld, the Saint Plechelmus Church, is a defining feature of the village silhouette and has been a landmark in the surrounding Twente landscape for generations. It is a relatively young church with deep historical roots in the Twente faith tradition.

RIn 1816, the first state-built church was erected on the so-called church island, which was rebuilt and enlarged several times in the 19th and 20th centuries. The current brick church with Neo-Gothic influences and a distinctive tower dates in its main form from the late 19th century, when the growing congregation needed a larger and more representative house of worship.

Around the church, a compact, village-like setting unfolds, in which the relationship between the church, churchyard, and surrounding buildings is still clearly recognizable.

The building, with its distinctive tower and understated interior, breathes the long religious and community history of Saasveld. Over time, the church has been adapted and restored several times, always with respect for its existing character and historical layers.

During GLASRIJK-2026, the church acts as a tranquil, almost self-evident backdrop for glass art. Within the walls of this monumental building, sacred space and contemporary artistic expression will enter into a temporary dialogue, allowing visitors to experience the church interior and the displayed works in a new, focused light.

Bozate Herinckhave in Fleringen

Herinckhave is a historic estate in Northeast Twente, near Fleringen in the municipality of Tubbergen, with a rich layering of nature, history, and culture.

The current estate is centered around the 18th-century manor house Herinckhave, flanked by two annexes and surrounded by moats. Two avenues mark the entrance to the ensemble. Scattered across the estate are former farms and agricultural sheds, embedded in a landscape of forests, orchards, and cultivated land with a total area of over 65 hectares.

Herinckhave is beloved by many as a peaceful walking destination, where the historical structure of the house, farmsteads, and landscape remains clearly recognizable.

During GLASRIJK-2026, the buildings will be opened, through the benevolent cooperation of the The von Bönninghausen family and Otto Bijleveld, its doors for a number of special exhibitions. Herinckhave will thus temporarily be not only a walking area but also a subdued stage for glass art.

Erve De Wieschert in Fleringen

Erve De Wieschert is located on the outskirts of Tubbergen and forms a characteristic Twente farmstead, where agricultural history and landscape tranquility come together. Around the historic farmhouse unfolds a small-scale hedgerow landscape with meadows, hedgerows, and clusters of trees, in which the traditional farmstead layout has largely been preserved.
Once used as a farm, Erve de Wieschert still clearly bears the traces of its agricultural past, with outbuildings and yards reflecting the rhythm of farm life. In its current state, Erve De Wieschert is a place where landscape, heritage, and contemporary use are carefully balanced, with room for nature development and quiet recreation.

Within walking distance of Erve de Wieschert is the iconic Kroezeboom near Fleringen, a centuries-old pedunculate oak on the Fleringer Es. It is considered one of the oldest trees in the Netherlands, estimated by experts to be 400-500 years old and likely planted around 1550. For centuries, it served as a boundary tree and still functions as a quiet, sacred gathering place for believers who use, among other things, the Maria Chapel.

During GLASRIJK-2026, the farmstead will serve as an understated stage for glass art. In and around the farmhouse, the historical setting will be temporarily complemented by art installations, allowing the past and current artistic practice to meet in a natural way.
